My story is quite the same as meny of you.  Growing up I had my Matchbox trains, O-27, HO, and a little S.  Before working at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI, I decided to settle on G gauage (1:29 scale).  After working at NRM, model railroading does not hold the same fasination as the real thing does but I still 'toy' around with it.  I left the museum in 2003 to take employment as a Firefighter.  I continue to volunteer my time at the museum and love doing it.  If you don't volunteer at a railroad museum, I strongly encourage it.  It is very rewarding.
